Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld explained that the vision of India he depicted in the house�s Paris-Bombay-themed fashion show Tuesday was �a fantastical idea of India.�
That goes without saying. The setting � in Paris� Grand Palais � was a decadent banquet of high tea treats and crystal chandeliers.
The clothes too, with their embroidered pearls and matte gold and silver detail, were spectacular in a fairy-tale kind of way.
