Santa Monica police detectives have been trying to get in touch with Lindsay to ask her questions about a car crash last June, when she slammed into a big rig on Pacific Coast Highway.  Sources say Linsday's lawyer, Shawn Holley, called the station and complained that cops should not be calling Lindsay directly because she has an attorney.We broke the story ... Lindsay lied to cops when she told them she was NOT the driver, but a passenger....

Both the actress and her assistant, Gavin Doyle, were reportedly interviewed -- and cleared -- by police Aug. 20 after Hollywood Hills homeowner Sam Magid reported that watches and sunglasses valued at more than $100,000 had been stolen from his home during a party. Complicating the case is the fact that Magid allegedly later recanted his story, but TMZ reports that the police are still investigating because an independent witness claims Lohan and Doyle did steal the jewelry....
