UP three flights of crumbling stairs to a New York-style warehouse in Chippendale, Dion Lee and his team are working on the designer’s next collection. Music plays softly as sunlight floods into the sprawling space, highlighting the sketches on the walls of designs that until last week Lee was planning to show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, which opens on Monday. But last Monday the designer pulled out of the event to focus instead on London Fashion Week in September, where he will show his new spring-summer collection....
